“My mama always used to tell me: 'If you can't find somethin' to live for, you best find somethin' to die for.”
Tupac's music and philosophy is rooted in many American, African-American, and World entities, including the Black
Panther Party. His mother was an active member of the Black panthers through-out his childhood.
"Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive. Never surrender."
— Tupac Shakur
"Why am I fighting to live,
If I am just living to fight
Why am I trying to see.
When there aint nothing in sight
Why am I trying to give,
When no one gives me a try
Why am I dying to live,
If I am just living to die?" — Tupac Shakur
Shakur was a voracious reader. He was inspired by a wide variety of writers, including William Shakespeare, Niccolò Machiavelli, Donald Goines, Sun Tzu, Kurt Vonnegut, Mikhail Bakunin, Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, and Khalil Gibran
Since his death, Tupac has become an international martyr, a symbol on the level of Bob Marleyor Che Guevara, whose life has inspired Tupacistas on the streets of Brazil, memorial murals in theBronx and Spain, and bandanna-wearing youth gangs in South Africa.
He will be missed greatly.!
